Bridge Partners continues to leverage its network of relationships to execute a multiplicity of transactional disciplines including off-market trades, loan assumptions, REO purchases and partnership interests.
The RTC was a US government-owned asset management company charged with liquidating assets of failed savings and loan associations as a consequence of the savings and loan crisis of the 1980s. Between 1989 and mid-1995, the RTC closed or otherwise resolved nearly 750 thrifts with total assets of nearly $400 billion.
As its first strategic business plan, Bridge Partners deployed its human and financial resources to Texas in the early 1990s to participate in the large inventory of distressed assets available through the RTC disposition program. The inventory of product available in the RTC program provided the base from which Bridge Partners established its presence in Texas, a presence which still remains today. Working across a broad range of income producing real estate investments across multiple Texas markets, Bridge Partners gained its early expertise in property management and operations in the Lone Star state.
